Painted in egg tempera with Prussian blue and other pigments on a chalk base mixed with a natural glue. "Easter Day" is part of my "Vessel" series of paintings, inspired by the mysterious Blue Bowl in Glastonbury and created in lockdown during the Covid19 crises. The human heart symbolises a vessel of love.

The paper was handmade in Chazuta, Peru The bowl and background are gilded with real gold and silver leaf and have been painted over with tempera. The paper has been left with a rough edge.
